Science is Mans Attempt to Understand Nature
-
-
Before there was man, nature was and before science there was both nature and man. All things work in harmony with nature except modern man. Rather than work in cooperation with nature modern man attempts to explain it, subdue it, copy it and reproduce it. Conversely ancient man simply observed nature and made note of their observations. They really didn’t try to understand it they accepted it and figured out how to use their observations to their advantage. In other words they made nature work for them.
The human body is an amazing organic mechanism designed to repair and renew itself. The natural state of the human body is optimum health. Disease is the unnatural state of the body which occurs when the body is out of balance with nature. The body becomes out of balance when the nutrition that is necessary to maintain optimal health is inadequate (malnutrition).
It is our belief that all disease is caused either directly or indirectly by malnutrition and that disease can be treated and even reversed by proper nutrition (natural organic foods consumed in the proper way in the proper amounts). We also believe that science has its place in understanding nutrition and should serve as an adjunct to nature not to replace or improve on it. Human bio-chemistry, for example, gives us incite on how the body works at the cellular level. Nutritional Science can help us to understand how the body processes the foods that we consume, what effect those foods have on our body and what foods we need to consume to achieve a desired effect. We need to observe these natural events and learn how to make them work for us.
Where we have gone wrong however, through our own arrogance, is in our attempt to improve on nature which did quite well for itself for millions of years before the existence of man/woman kind. The more we learn about nature, through science, the better we can relearn that which was once instinctive. One need not tell animals what they need to eat nor the trees and plants how to grow. They don’t know why they eat what they eat or why they grow how they grow, they just do.
In that same light the human body still knows what is good for it or not. The body knows instinctively that it is an organic organism and that as such it requires organic nutrition. Is it really any wonder that the body metabolizes natural organic nutritional supplements (up to 50%) better than their synthetic counterparts? Is it strange that when the body is given proper nutrition we become ill less often?
