Nutritional Supplements

As we have touched on before nutritional supplements should be, at the very least:

-

Made from the highest quality natural organic materials (not synthetic chemicals produced in a laboratory).

-
Production quality should be USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) grade.  Nothing Less!

-

The supplements should be designed to deliver nutrients at the highest bi0-available levels.

-

Not all nutritional supplements are created equal.  The basic differences between nutritional supplements can be viewed in terms of the materials used to manufacture the product the process that is used in production and the delivery system.  Let’s take a quick look at these three issues.

The materials used in the production of nutritional supplements can be either natural or synthetic.  Is there really a difference between the two?  Aside from the obvious there are quite a few reasons that natural supplements are better for your body than synthetics.

First of all we must remember that anything synthetic has it’s roots in nature.  What science has done is to isolate a particular constituent within whole plant material that they believe has therapeutic value.  They then recreate this constituent in a laboratory and it is called a synthetic.  The main problem with this technology is that the body does not process synthetic materials well.  In fact the body processes natural nutrition up to 50% better than it does the best synthetic.

In addition, as  all naturalists know, there are tens, hundreds even thousands of chemical and biological constituents as well as compounds with in whole plant material that work in conjunction to produce a particular effect.   By isolating a single element and excluding the other constituents found in the natural product you are reducing and or eliminating the effectiveness of the nutrient.

The body knows what is good for it and it can’t be fooled by science.  Now I have no problem with science when it is kept in it’s place.  You see science is very good at some things and not as efficacy in others.  For example scientists have been creating sea water in laboratories for years yet they can’t get a fish to stay alive in it.  Yet science has given natural nutritional supplement manufacturers an understanding how the body works at the cellular level and how they can produce better more effective supplements.
